I saw a pre-order email from Rainer about this and never heard of it. After reading about it on the manufacturer's website it seems interesting.
Polymer80 - Spectre ATF Technology Branch ruled that the Polymer80 frame is not a firearm. Some things I like about it: Flared magwell No finger grooves Longer beavertail 1913 rail
Some unknowns: Would this be compatible with the ALG 6 second mount? Assumed negatives: I doubt it is compatable with any G17/17l/34 holsters. Anyways, I am more of an M&P guy but the aftermarket support for Glock is 2nd to none for polymer pistols so that has had me considering a G17 or G19. This seems better than just buying a Glock and changing out all the parts for what I would want when I could buy the frame and buy the parts I want to begin with. All of this is just like my opinion man, just wondering what everyone else thought about it. |

Saw this also.
Couple of things pop out right away: No metal in the frame. A "locking block" will have metal frame rails. But no pictures of the locking block have been seen, even weeks after the company mentioned pics are forth coming.
Buy now for January delivery? That's about 3 weeks away. Were is the prototype? Oh, there isn't one yet. Cool concept but needs more vetting. Good luck to the early adopters. |

I'm very interested, but they seem like they're still figuring it out. Also, I haven't seen a pic of a completed build. It seems odd that there isn't something like that out there. |

Well the one big red flag question I have is, what are the rails made of? If they're plastic, I'm not interested. If they're steel, this could be very interesting indeed. If they were steel I'm sure that would be part of their advertising. Also, aren't Glock rails polymer? |

Not that I am really interested, but what I read says, it is compatable with Gen3 Glock 17 3 pin parts kit and upper receiver. Quoted:

Known negative: Will not work with Glock17 Gen3 3-pin parts kit Not that I am really interested, but what I read says, it is compatable with Gen3 Glock 17 3 pin parts kit and upper receiver. Good catch, thanks. |
