The wife is looking for a small 380 she can use with a flashbang bra holster for those times she can't carry anything else.
What small 308 is 100% dependable, sized right to be used in a bra holster and has a semi decent to decent trigger? |
| Is your wife able to handle the recoil of a smaller framed pistol? We went through similar issues-had a LCP,P3At,S&W Bodyguard and now a Glock 42. The G42 might be a little big for your carry needs but in a IWB holster it is the perfect pistol for her. I must admit, it has little recoil, but again it is a bigger pistol. |
| Just picked up a new BodyGaurd without the laser, and im loving it for pocket carry. Shoots very well, and feels like a bigger gun in my hands than it really is. Has actual sights, locks back on empty, and has manual safety if that is something that makes a difference for her preference. The trigger pull is relatively heavy, but smooth and feels pretty good for DOA. |

This. It is by far the best. Shoots more like a full on race gun than a pocket .380. Accurate, reliable, great trigger, real sights, slide lock, etc. It's also smaller and lighter than the Beretta Pico. Quoted:

Kahr Pm 380 I think its the best in class This. It is by far the best. Shoots more like a full on race gun than a pocket .380. For twice the price, you get less than a 5mm and 2 ounce difference vs the Pico, but still not as slim. The cheaper C model only has one mag, no polygonal rifling, and a slide that looks like it was engraved by a 12 year old, not to mention the forums are full of people crying about the mags ejecting themselves. Do you really want to guess if your carry gun's mag is seated when you need it most? |

Do you really want to guess if your carry gun's mag is seated when you need it most? 3/8" is a mile? The trigger pull is more like a very short, very smooth DAO revolver. If you're trying to compare it to a Glock or 1911, it's not even close. If you compare it to other pocket guns, especially the venerable J frames, it's miles ahead. As for saying it shoots like a race gun, I was referring to the recoil characteristics and accuracy. My personal sample size of one has never had any issues with reliability or the mags ejecting. Of course, that's only one, so take it for what it's worth. It's .025" thicker than the Pico, but lighter and shorter in both height and length. |

Ruger LCP / end thread
I paid $270ish out the door for mine 3 years ago, I think it's still the smallest and lightest .380 on the market. No safeties, no gay magazine disconnect or loaded chamber indicator or tall sights to get snagged, just loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong trigger pull followed with a reliable pop and snap. |
