Does anyone know if my younger brothers Custom II  would lose accuracy if he removed his full length guide rod for a standard G.I. set-up?  Thoughts, opinions, and pics please

No.  I have a Kimber Custom Classic that I bought back in 1998.  I replaced the full length guide rod with the standard plug long ago, and the pistol still drives tacks.  I would say it rivals my Sig P226 in accuracy.  As far as I am concerned, the full length guide rod theory is unfounded.
