I have had this in my safe for atleast 15 years. It was given to me and I dont know anything about it. Any help would be appreciated. It says OMEGA on the grips. Box says it was made in Germany. Omega model 220. Chambered in 22 long rifle. Serial #23xx

Edited to say: Sorry, Maybe I should be a little clearer. Anyone know anything about the manufacturing company, value, anything outside of what I know from looking at the gun itself?

Probably not much help here, but it's an Omega small frame.  Value is about $50  - $75.  Here is a link to Numrich Arms' page in case you ever need parts.  I think it was manufatured by the predecessor to RG, if I remember correctly, but I can't be sure.

I'm just going off of memory.  I would find someone with a Fjestad's Blue Book of Gun Values and see if it's in there.  Or, I'll check at work tomorrow.  I really widh I could remember for sure who made it.  I have a friend who remmebers everything about every gun out there.  I'll see if he can confirm if it was made by RG.

I just looked in my Blue Book of Gun Values and cannot find that particular pistol under the Omega name brand.

It appears that many different manufacturers have produced guns under the Omega name.  Of all the manufacturer names listed, one is from Germany -- Peters-Stahl.

Looking up Peters-Stahl, they made 1911 pistols in the $2,000++ range MSRP, because Peter-Stahl is considered a very high quality manufacturer.  These are 1911s in various calibers.  It also said Peters-Stahl at one time manufactured for Omega.  Importation from Peters-Stahl into the U.S. ceased in 1999.
