A question especially for those who have had professional training and even those who haven't.
Is there one "right" way to position your trigger finger ?  Pad of finger on trigger or at the first joint  ?
Will this vary with different makes of pistol and different actions ? (single,DA,DAO etc..)
Should you use the same method regardless of which gun is used ?

On single action I use the first pad of my finger and on double action the area between the first pad and middle section of my finger.  Works well for me.

Do whatever works for you.  I use a slightly different part of my finger for different triggers.

What ever is comfortable for you as long as it allows you to press the trigger straight back.

The middle of the pad seems to work best for most folks

The technical position is to have only the pad on the trigger, not the joint. Too many bullseye shooters do this & win for it to not be right, IMO.

For light SA trigger use the front of the pad and work your way up to the joint depending on how much trigger pull is necessary. Meaning, with a DA revolver, it should rest on the pad close to the joint but not on it and a light DA would be somewhere in the middle of the pad.
