| I can get one for $299 shipped . Should I ? Will eventually become a bedside gun , after reliability testing . Where do I get magazines ? Maxx |

IIRC- The 98DAC (not the DA) takes Hi-Power mags. The longer grip of the 98DA precludes the use of standard Hi-Power mags.
Great Gun! and highly undervalued in the U.S. Century has not done what they should to market these guns. The maker is well respected and this gun is very popular in many places outside the U.S. |
| I would recommend the 98DAC unless you have a desire for the 4.5 inch barrel. The DAC is like a Hi Power commander. Like said above, the DAC uses the hipower mags. The larger Arcus uses proprietary mags which was a no go for me. I have about 2000 rounds through my DAC and love it. I don't know why it is not more popular but with the option for SA or DA, no mag disconnect and the mags drop free the 98DAC is a great shooter. Also I've never gotten hammer bite from the Arcus. II do wonder about spare parts when something breaks. David |
| I just picked it up from the dealer and I am surprised at how well built it is . I took it apart to clean out all of the grease it was covered in and found that the only thing wrong is that the slide is a little stiff and the part of the recoil spring that mates up with the barrel can only go one way , it won't go together if its not right . I am really stoked to have a nice Hi Power clone at such a great price . I will update with a range report soon . Maxx |
