Surefire X200 or the brighter X200A, NO QUESTION.

LED = absolutely more reliable.

It's a great light.  Small, light, strong, bright, you can't ask for much more.

I cary the Streamlight M3 and use it nightly, on the average.  It seems to hold up well however I have not fired my GLock 23 with it on the weapon.  For the money (+/-$100) I think it is a great weapon light.  If I had the extra jack I think I would go with the X200.  On a handgun I do not see a need for a pressure pad, the switch works well on the M3 and a pad with the line would be prone to getting hung up on something an tore off.  YMMV.

I prefer the X200.

I would HIGHLY recommend you do that, with the light on and off.

With the light on, the filament is heated and weaker.

How can you trust your equipment if you haven't tested it?

Your recommendation is respectfully noted and makes a very valid point.....reminds me I need to do just that.  My ego was preparing a tert rebuttal in light of your condescending tone because I am not some dipwad rookie........but in reality I realize that you are accurate in your assesment and a T & E is in order on my next range trip.
