I am getting ready to purchase my first HK handgun.  I am leaning towards the compact over the full-size.  It probably wont be a carry gun, but I still like the idea of the more compact size.

Should I spend a little extra and get the LEM trigger, or stick with the standard?  I've never shot an HK45 before with either trigger.

Thoughts, opinions?

That was a good read.

I have the LEM trigger on my USP 40 and love it. It did take some time to get used to it, but now I shoot pretty well with it.

The LEM is great.  My P2000 has it.  Also, the compact is not really that much smaller than the full size HK45.  The grip is completely different too.  The full size HK45 has one of the best grips on a handgun available.  Make sure you handle them both before you buy.  The 45 compact has the same grip as my P2000.  It is good, but the full size versions of both (HK45 and P30) have, in my opinion a superior grip.
