I was considering getting one. They look cool. All the pics I've seen of them are metalic in color. Are any made black? Please post your pics! What do ya'll have on the rail inder the weapon? |

Nothing on my rail. All are stainless, they can be blackened, the cheapest was would probably be Black-T, Gunkote, Duracoat or Norrels. And I think ROBAR does blackening too. SIGARMS does Nitron on stainless slides so they probably could do an ST frame if you wanted. I need to remove about 1oz of metal from the frame to make it legal for CDP div in IDPA. Mine's a EL220 (ST) the slide is stainless as well but they Nitroned in from the factory. I need to remove about 1oz of metal from the frame to make it legal for CDP div in IDPA, it'll probably come from under the grips.

You may be interested in the Sig 220R. I have it as my issued weapon. It is a Nitrolon finished Sig 220 with the integral rail. I have a Surefire X200 on it and it's the cats meow. |
220ST - Stainless Steel Slide and Frame both with a natural bead blasted finish 220R - Stainless Steel and aluminum Frame, both coated black Other than that, they are the same gun so if you want black get the "R" model which will also be a little lighter which depending on what you plan to use it for, may be a benefit as well? Edited to PS... But you got to admit, the "ST" is a sexy gun!...
