Recommend me some...Since i'm new to carrying(not new to guns)I've realized my Glock 27 isn't going to be the best for everywhere I go!

There's nothing wrong with the G27 but since You want to try something else - here are two options (in .40S&W):
1) HK2000/HK2000SK (my personal preference), or
2) S&W M&P compact.
Good luck whatever the choice!

I love a Rahrbaugh R9. Small comfortable to carry and beautiful hand built fit and finish but hard on your had to shoot.

I spent a lot of time choosing a pocket pistol...I decided that I needed 9mm and went with the Sig 938.  I've been exceptionally impressed.  Its pocketable, easy yo shoot snd reliable.  Pricey but highly recommend it.

If you're really looking to put it in your pocket, there are few 9s that are really that small. Drawing something like a Kahr,  Kel-Tec PF-9, or Ruger LC-9 from a pocket would be very cumbersome.

They are all too thick or long or both IMHO. They also tend to be heavier than the .380 versions and drag your pants down unevenly.

Unless you wear pants with cargo pockets, you might want to consider a 380 version but by all means go to a store and put a few in your pocket to test.

I got a PM9 to pocket carry and truth be told, I end up with it IWB far more often than in the pocket.  It's just as concealable there, if not more so.

This would be my recommendation.  The Kahr CM/PM9s are what I would go with if I needed to go any smaller than a Shield/XDs/CW9.

How big are your pockets? How tight are your jeans.

I guess it's just me, but I couldn't put a handgun in my pocket and it be concealed. Not in my jeans but my cargo shorts, yeah, maybe.

I own a Shield and wouldn't even consider that compact enough for pocket carry.

I have never handled one in person, but the Rohrbaugh's reputation precedes it. It is just about the only thing I have seen advertised that looks small enough to be considered a "pocket" carry.

The Sig 938 might fit the bill, as well.

I have a PF9.  I 'upgraded' from my LCP for pocket carry.  however, like others have mentioned, while you can pocket carry the PF9, it really depends on the pants and pocket to not print, and also to be easy to draw.  It really only works well in stuff with large, deep pockets, with a wide opening.  It works great in my VertX pants, or my Carhart work pants.

So, that said, I tend to find myself carrying the PF9 IWB, and still going with the LCP for deep carry in a pocket, or TBH, the simple convenience of the tiny mouse gun always in my pocket.

+2. I carry my CM9 when I simply can't carry anything larger. Recoil is surprisingly comfortable (especially w/a rubber grip sleep) and accuracy is surprisingly good for such a small pistol (my first range trip I was consistently hitting coke cans at 10yds, much better than I was expecting).

Yes. Or PM9. The LC9 is also good, but the trigger is not anywhere near as smooth as the Kahr.

I traded in my CM9 cause I just couldn't hit with it. I carried mine in a Bear Creek horsehide pocket holster.

Don't discount a 642/442 with +p either.

I don't like autoloaders that small.  They either have a beaver tail that can snag, or don't and bite your hand if you hold it the tiniest bit wrong.

If it's going to be in my pocket, and there is a chance it might actually get fired from that pocket, I want a J frame Smith.

My particular pockets are the outer pockets on a heavy parka...if you wear tight jeans, get a Mika pocket holster and consider getting looser jeans.
