with my pending arrival of my tag for a TiRant45, i picked up a storm lake threaded barrel today for my Glock21.

whats the general consensus concerning the thread protector, for shooting when the supressor is not attached?  so far with just dry firing, it seems quite susceptible to work its way loose.

Getting a ding on the barrel threads is worse than losing a thread protector.
Use a weak glue like Elmer's. That will hold it but be weak enough to remove it also.

Mine loosens up over time, but it's not to bad. Just be cautious when tightening it down. It gets warm! I would deff not ditch it though.
