I'm in the market for a 1911.  I like the Kimber alot, and would have chosen that hands down until I held a WC.  I find the WC to be better in terms of fit with a little less rattle.  I would like to hear opinions on the two.  Yes I know I can get a Kimber for 1/2 the price.  Thanks for the feedback.

I have a Kimber TLE and it is beautiful. Never even thought a more beautiful, good-fitting gun could exist on this Earth!   Then, last week, my brand new 2003 Wilson CQB arrived.   NOW, I've truly never felt and saw a more beautiful 1911 on this Earth. This time I mean it.  I can't stop staring at it.  I'm a little bit in debt now, but it's worth it.

Kimber? Wilson? Why?

Get what you want, you're the one who has to live with it. FWIW, neither has impressed me over the years.

Be well.

OK,

I'll play, why have you not been impressed with Kimber or WC?  While I don't own either, I've never heard anything other than rave reviews.

A2, I am not being negative, however, it seems that the original poster does not have much experience with 1911s. He made mention of a rattling Kimber, and holding one Wilson Combat. I simply posed a question for him to reflect on so that he could make the best decsion for his needs without the slant of direct marketing, and e-commando BS. He is going to dump a fair amount of money into a 1911, and that is not something I recommend anyone do without performing some research. I don't care what he buys, I just hope that it is something that brings him years of pleasurable recreation, and reliable service.

Be well!
