So I have a 19 and love it, but when I shot a 26 for the first time I was amazed at how easily it handles and how accurate I shot it. I remember hearing that using your pinky finger to grip the gun adds extra pressure that is not needed, and the middle and ring finger are all you need. At 1st this did not sound right, but from shooting the 26 I understand now so my question is which 9mm Glock model do you shoot best? Full size? Compact? Sub-Compact? |

Quoted: I like the 17 best. Gonna get a gen4 when I get my tax money, maybe sooner. I couldnt shoot 26 worth a damn but maybe you just told me why. I did like to pocket carry the 26 while on my mc Yea go try out and I remember I heard about it from Hickok45 who loves the Sub-Compact Glocks. |

I always surprise myself with the Glock 26 ringing the gongs out past 100 yards.
But for me, it's a matter of caliber. The G21 shoots the best for me. I shoot 19 and 17's ok. Nothing to write home about, but they will do the job. Comfortable with the 19 because I shoot it the most |

Take your time and it is as accurate as the G21 I've never shot the G36. |

The first time I fired the G26 I was surprised at how well it handled and shot. Having the little finger on there really isn't necessary. I love the subcompact Glocks. Have you tried not using the lil finger with the compact or full size Glocks? No, but the little finger isn't part of some kind of death grip with the larger guns either. The gun sits and recoils in the web/palm of the hand, no matter the grip length. |

| As far as accuracy goes, I haven't noticed a whole lot of difference between the 26, 19, and 17L. I notice the most difference in running the guns. I get on target quicker, get quicker follow up shots, transition to different targets faster, and reload faster with the bigger guns. It isn't a big difference but there is a difference for me. It is surprising how well that little 26 performs though. I never feel underarmed with it. |

I know I'll get both but which one should I get 1st. lol

| I shoot the subs best in terms of consistent accuracy shot per shot. I've always known I overgrip with my pinky and I think that's why I shoot the subs better in slow aimed bullseye type shooting. The more rapid the follow up shots, the more consistent I am with the larger models as I can control the recoil and get them back on target quicker. Trade-offs in everything and they all have their purpose. |

I don't carry the subs a lot, partly for the reason I posted above. I carry my sub as a backup to my primary. |
| When I'm trying to shoot the smallest groups possible, I do shoot slightly better with the 26. However, when shooting practically - multiple targets, multiple rounds on each target, drawing, mag changes, etc. as fast as possible while keeping rounds in COM - I shoot the 34 the best. Mag changes in particular are substantially slower with the 26 due to the short grip. |

I can't squeeze with my pinky and pull it low and right (I'm left handed). There for a while my G26 also had the best sights (factory night sights vs. factory plastic sights), but I've since remedied that.

I understand what the OP is saying. putting pressure on the pinky pulls the muzzle down. eliminate the pinky from the grip and you are less likely to drop your shots.
You can see how this works simply by gripping your chosen pistol and applying pressure with the ring & middle finger. You will see the gun pulls straight back. Now if you press with your pinky the barrel drops... I've sen this suggested in various Youtube vids and Hickok even leaves his pinky "Dead" on the grip and as we all know, LOVES the baby Glock and shoots it well (He shoots everything well though). I have not found a way to keep my pinky out of the equation on G19 sized pistols because my weak hand is wrapping around it. It doesn't feel right. |

Yea its hard not to use the pinky with the bigger gun, so we must find a way to just let it rest there instead of using it too much or just train more with it. |
| I love everything about the Glock 19 but how well I shoot it (and how blocky it is to carry). I put >15k through that gun then pick up the CZ, Sig, 92fs and 1911 and shoot them better every time. Pretty muck kills it for me. The Glock 26 was the same story. I still have my Glock 17 as a range/game gun. Otherwise, I stick with guns I shoot best. |
