For those who have been reading my posts lately know I have been interested in a "pocket" gun.  So far, I have ruled out the Kel-Tek (all models) and am somewhat considering the Beretta Tomcat.  But I recently remembered the NAA revolvers shown here.  I am now asking the usual questions about reliability, accuracy etc... please do not comment on the cartridge, for again, I understand the limitations; I simply want something I can throw in my pocket when I head out for the store late at night.

So those who have actual experience with these revolvers I would appreciate any kind of input.

TIA

I have had 2 of the short barreled combo guns.  You might as well just accept that there is no sighting system it is a total close action pistol. As for front pocket carry there is no other gun I know of that does not print a gun shape like these do not.  I would use one still if I was not carrying with a Tshirt out all the time with the P32.

I had a necklace holster kydex, I had the bolt buckle holster I still have the Wallet Holster, it comes with an IWB holster but usually just dropped in my pocket, it will be 100% reliable.  It has a safety notch for hammer down carry between chambers, but a couple times a year I would find it had the hammer at ready against a primer, so something must have shagged the hammer enough to rotate the cylinder to a shell.

Just don't pretend you can hit anything with them at distance

I own 1 and like it as a last ditch gun. Its accurate enough for the purpose. I can hit a pop can at 7 yrds. I have the .22 lr. I would recommend the .22 mag. you have shown instead. recoil is almost non existant. I did add skateboard tape to the grip strap for better control. These guns are ultra concealable! Never had my gun slip from half cock.

I generally carry a NAA "Guardian" in .32ACP and am pretty satisfied with it.

However, I do like my NAA Mini-Mag revolver.  I have the 1-5/8" barrel with the conversion cylinder.  Great little gun.  With magnum rounds mine seems to be surprisingly accurate (I can keep ~12" groups at 25 yards slow fire).  (Sights alignment on mine requires aligning rear sights with base of front sight and center of target).

"Group Dispersion Test" from the NAA website:
http://www.naaminis.com/grpdisp.html

I have heard that the .22LR bullet has slightly smaller dimensions than the .22mag bullet and is therefore not as accurate.

From a reliability standpoint, mine has been pretty good.  I replaced the springs shorty after I got it (used gun), and it has been great ever since (~800+ rounds).  NAA has great customer service and I will simply let them replace the internals if I have another problem.  (The NAA mini-revolver is made like a fine watch and tough to re-assemble).

The NAA mini-mags are hard to beat for size, but the only down side is that they require more "fine motor skills" for use.  To me that is fine, but may be a consideration.

David mentioned times when the cylinder rotated when carried alone in the pocket.  That was a BIG concern for me as well.  I carried mine loaded with only 4 rounds for that reason.  However,  I found that a pocket holster alleviates that problem and I now use the safety notch and load 5 rounds.  (I use a holster that also has a pouch for additional ammo).

When compared to a Beretta "Tomcat", the mini-mag revolver will be ~1/2 the size and weight - I think.  I have no direct experience with the Beretta pocket pistols, but have gennerally heard good things about them.

Well . . .

here's my 2 cents . . .

I have a very good friend, who has been a God-send a few times in my life, and I bought him a NAA 22 l.r. revolver for Christmas a couple of years ago.

This friend is in law enforcement and has carried the little NAA around his neck since he received the little revolver -- it's his "third" gun.   I doubt he ever leaves home without it.

I picked one up this past summer -- the 1 5/8 inch bbl 22 l.r. model.   It's tiny  ! !  Carry mine now and then in a neck holster -- and sometimes in the holster in my pocket.

Never my primary but maybe my secondary.

I've often heard these little guns being called a "cooler gun" --  when the bad guys are ordering the customers "into the cooler" during the robbery it will be the only gun the bad guys did not see and maybe I'll make it home alive  ! !

Something to think about . . . . . .

I've got the .22mag version, with the folding plastic handle that clips to one's pocket, much like a knife. The handle gives a great grip for the .22mag! You'd be surprised how well it will shoot up to 5-7 yards (not feet, yards).

I have no real clue about HP performance from such a tiny barrel though.
