Got this as a Xmas gift and went to range it hits about 1 ft lower than POA at 10yrd. When I was detail cleaning it today I found the crown had metal machining strips and burs on it. What say you guys? Call S&W and send it back? None issue? Anyone else have one that looks like this?

S&W does a pretty bad job at finishing the barrels on their revolvers nowadays so i'm not too surprised. I've seen quite a few S&Ws at shops that had rough/uneven crowns from the factory.
Also, looking at your first photo, it looks like the machined the recessed area at the muzzle off-center as well. I'd get them to take care of that too. My SSR that I used to own had that issue too. |
