I've got a Springfield EMP and have been offered a Lnib Sig p239 +$200. I am tempted as I have had some close calls with the thumb safety and single action trigger. Any thoughts from the hive

Both are nice guns.  If it was me, I'd keep the SA Emp.  What kind of holster are you using possibly causing these "close calls"?

I'd try a different holster instead of that trade and I love the P239.

If its like a standard 1911, see if you can deepen the detent on the safety, It will make it more positive and should fix that problem, I've had to do this to every Springfield or kimber I've ever bought.

I always hated the way the P239 felt in my big mitts.   The top-heavy, tall slide combined with the short, skinny grip made it feel like it was ready to squirt out of my hand.  The ones I've shot have always been accurate but I've never had the least interest in owning one.

Love my P239.  I carry it over my USP Compact in .45.  In your case you simply need to follow the rules and get both.  Problem solved.

I have a 239  and a Springfield Micro Compact .45. I wouldn't do the trade. Try a different holster or send your EMP in to have the ambi-safety swapped out for a single sided safety.
