| Anyone carry one? How do you like it compared to other Glock 9mm? |
|
I carry my 26 occasionally; I think it is just about the perfect size for a 9mm, but do not regularly carry it anymore, having gone to a Kahr due to size/weight and the need to use complete concealment via a smartcarry holster. Great gun, tho', more accurate than either Kahr and the only one of my several 9s that digested a case of lousy Olympic arms ammo without a hard-primer hiccup. I like the Scherer extension--purely based on "feel;" I have used both S's and Pearce extensions. I'll probably put some low profile night sights on it soon; I have them on my 36 and really like them. |

If you're gonna use a mag extension, you might as well get a G19 because your grip is going to be just as long and you'll loose any concealability you gained going with the 26. Carry it with the flush fit 10 rd mags and have some G17 highcaps as spares. If you get through the first 11 rounds in a gunfight, you're gonna want a lot more ammo where that came from. My accuracy and speed was not effected by lack of a pinky rest. |

I carry a Glock 26- though there are a few slighlty smaller 9mm semi-autos out there for CCW I think the Glock 26 combines an incredibly small size with fullsize gun reliability. Other semi-autos in it's class may be a little smaller, but have small size gun reliability. Some people don't like the small grip, with the pinky underneath, but I agree with others that having the pinky under the mag actually helps with accuracy, as alot of shooters subconsciously squeeze their pinky finger while squeezing the trigger finger, moving the sights off. I carry a G-17 mag without an extension as a backup, as I have a Keltec Sub-2000 as well, and want to be able to use any G-17 mags for either. |
