I have an opportunity to get one for $400 shipped and have been thinking about getting a decent and reliable 9mm as a range sidearm, nothing too serious and not for concealed carry. What are your thoughts? Is the Essentials thing going to be around for a while? |

I love my XD9. SPring for the night sights though. The model you want is the XD9104. It comes with Trij night sites, holster, mag holster and mag loader in addition to everything the essentials pkg comes with and is not that much more.

Of the other things, the holster would be the only usefull thing, but there are many aftermarket options. I wish I had a larger budget, then I would probably just go for an XDm. Oh well. Psa has em 399$. Bought my ex's during there black Friday sale for 349$. Springfield was running a rebate and she got three free mags and a dual mag holder shipped from. Springfield Yeah I remember seeing similar sales on Labor Day and I was very tempted. Oh well, still a decent deal for a good handgun. Mine should be at the FFL tomorrow.
