| Hello guys, I have a little question regarding a Ruger MKII pistol. I have an option of purchasing it for $250.00. It's blue, in excellent condition, with a 4" bbl, and comes with the stock target sights. Owner informed me he that he purchased the pistol new from a dealer, and that he has put very little rounds through her. He also informed me that he has never broken the pistol down to clean, because the dealer told him it was a bitch, and that if he ever wanted it cleaned, to bring it back to the shop. So whatcha think guys, am I getting a good deal? |

I own quite a lot of guns actually and many of them are quite "expensive" while the ruger is definitely one of the cheapest among them BUT it sure is my absolute favourite! You have to buy one of these puppies. In my opinion it is the only .22 long rifle pistol in this price range to get - all the others (Sig Mosquito, Walther P22, etc.) are no comparison to a ruger. Its just so precise and such a nice piece of craftmanship! GET ONE!
Oh yeah, the guy who told you not to break it down is a total newbie and complete philistine. There are plenty of youtube videos that show you how to get it back together again. It is only ONE thing you have to know actually but its quite difficult to describe here. Just watch the youtube videos then! In my opinion it is easier to field-strip than a 1911. I do it in about 20 seconds (disassembly and reassembly) and Im not exactly talented... Dont hesistate - get one! btw. I personally dont like the 22/45 models too much. The real "Mark`s" are worth the price difference! |

Yes, it's the bull bbl model, and comes with target grips. GO for it! They are very accurate. Best gun Ruger has made to date. Yes they are a B***h to reassemble, but you will get the hang of it. I just replace a broken spring in mine, this is after at least 10K rounds. Mine dose not like Remington 22lr, no problem with any other brand. RJ |

Infact, ive got a MKII with high round count, they just get better with age (rounds), my trigger is the smoothest of all my guns and nothing was done to it other than just shooting it. Just get it, clean and shoot it. Then move up to the Pac-Lite threaded upper and a Suppressor and watch the real fun begin. |

You could probably get a new MKIII for about $50-$75 more, or a new MKIII 22/45 for just a little over what you're paying. MKII > MKIII None of that lawyered up crap that makes the pistol more complicated IE less reliable. |
