Is anyone familiar with the Charles Daley 1911s? I happened to see one the other day at a local shop and while certainly no kimber the fit and finnish seem very nice  for the price. Anyone have one? How do they shoot?

Had one about a year ago, and I had to get rid of it.Good fit and finish, practical accuracy. Overall I liked it a lot, but every time I fired it (50 rnds or so) the mainspring housing pin would break at the detent notch and fall out. I replaced the mainspring housing pin(wilson). It broke again. Next, I replaced the mainspring, plunger, mnsprng housing, mnsprng housing pin, and hammer rod (all wilson parts). It happened AGAIN! So I took it to the next local gun show and traded the pistol, 2 extra CMC mags, an IWB holster, and 75 bucks for a Kahr E9. The guy I traded with originally did not want to trade because of the "Made in the Phillipines" stamp on the bottom of the frame.

go here

I have seen many horror storys from Charles Daly .45s. For a custom .45, they sure seem to have a lot of problems.

Take your $$$ & put it in your grill & burn it. You'll get better use of it that way.

If you roll the bills real tight, you might get enough heat to cook a small burger.
