i was watching the movie "underworld" and noticed she was using a USP .40 but i noticed there was something on the end that i've never seen before. I looked it up a little bit and found this picture. it says that its a compensator silencer. is that something that is real or just for the movie. also are they legal to own and if so do they make them for a USP .45 compact. check out the movie if you havent seen it...its a bangin movie(that means it rocks)...lol John http://www.battleorders.co.uk/acatalog/LaraCroft1.jpg |

it take it that a compensator is like a compressor...it just doesnt compress as much ? i dont really know. if its just a barrel weight im guessing its just on there so there isnt as much kickback as normal. i just think its a tight looking gun. id like to have one but if its a lot more money for just something that looks cool then whats the point. i think ill just stick to my USP .45 compact for now. oh i just noticed that the gun you have pictured is a .45. the one in Underworld is a .40. i think id prefer the .45 though IMO. |
A compensator just helps with recoil. A compressor is to help reduce the noise. Compressors are illegal unless you have a special permit for it. |
compressors compress things i think you mean suppresors |
| It's just a weight. Makes the gun heavier, easier to control. Not a compensator or suppressor. Doesn't even interact with the barrel. The 9mm Match was in HL2 and Tomb Raider, and has never been sold in the US. The .45 Match was sold for a period of time and usually goes for $1200 to $1500 used. |
