I was looking at a used G36 at the gun store today. I didn't get to shoot it but got to hold it and it felt good, which is a plus since I have smaller hands. I have a G27 and G26. How does the recoil compare to the G27? Also, who here carries one for daily carry? General opinions?

I had one.

Was accurate, but not really pleasant to shoot.  100 rounds at the range and my trigger finger was stinging.

Not my favorite pistol.

Really too big for what it is, and not big enough to work to my satisfaction.

Get an HK.

They had an HK USP 45 C for $600. Felt good. Just not sure how well that would conceal. At least I've got the other two Glocks.

I had one too, and it carried and concealed great.  Shooting it was fun, though.  Like said above, its kind of in the inbetween size for what it is.  I would get anohter one, if the price was right on it and other options werent available.

Buy one. I just picked up a new one so im selling my old one, but they are in my opinion the best .45 CCW piece. Big enough to shoot well and small/slim enough to conceal easy.

It's being sold for $450. Standard G36, no night sights. I stripped it and wondered if the thing had been shot. It is in great condition.

Thats really not too bad of a deal. If it's in great shape, snag it up.

I got mine for a little less.  I like it better than the 1911 Officers size gun and it costs a lot less.   It is nice because it fits in the same holsters as the G19/23

I had one and got rid of it in favor of a Sig p239 in 40sw. I wanted a single stack 45 (did some but apparently not enough research) and ended up with one of the guns that had extreme problems with failure to extract. I had about 3 in 100 rounds fail to clear the chamber after being fired. For a carry gun I felt it was not acceptable. The gunsmith who looked at the gun said the extractor was bad, but I'd already been soured on it and couldn't justify carrying it. I still love glock 19s, but wont ever own another 36. Personal opinion, treat it as such.
