[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Slide polishing tips?

Does anyone have any experience polishing their slides to a nice mirror finish? I've seen several before and just aquired a G36 with some slide wear and a polished barrel that needs a matching slide. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
