I have a S&W model 637 Airweight 38 Spl, 2 in snub nose revolver. I recently purchased a HKS Model 36-A speed loader for a J frame revolver. The speed loader seems to hang up on the rubber boot grip. What do I do to make this work without butchering my grips?. Or is their another product out their that will do the same thing?. I already have speed strips but want something faster. Thank you for the help.

I use Safariland speedloaders with my 642 with no problems.

They are just Uncle Mikes' Boot Grips. Get another set if you want to leave the ones that came on the gun as-is, and sand down / remove any material necessary for proper function from the new set.

Hogue Bantam Monogrips will solve the problem.

Do you use HKS or Safariland with the Hogue grip?

I haven't found any grips that will work with the Safariland without modification.  I haven't tried the Hogue though
