| any comments about the best ammo out there to use in this gun, i just picked one up yesterday and was wondering if any one brands feeds better than the others, if on brand jams more often then others, and what rounds give the best groups?????? |

The .380acp is a "cut-off" caliber for me. Smaller than .380 and I'd want to use FMJ for defensive purposes. Larger than .380 and I'd want a good JHP.
The .380 can go either way, but I'd rather use a bullet that penetrates further, so I use Buffalo Bore 100g +P lead bullets. The hollow points in this caliber just don't penetrate deep enough for me to feel comfortable with. Don't worry about group sizes varying with ammo. The LCP is a close-range gun. |

The only ammo issues I ran into with my LCP was the WWB flat nose FMJ. I noticed when initially chambering a round, the flat points hung up on the feed ramp. A little bump to the back of the slide would send the gun into battery and they cycled fine once I began shooting. As far as carry ammo, I prefer to carry FMJ. I'm currently carry Speer Lawman as penetration is more of a concern for me in this caliber than expansion.
ETA a couple of pics of groups shot the first time I took it to the range shot with the aforementioned WWB ammo and Remington FMJ.
