I picked up a Star PD and decided to change all the springs and replace the buffer.
It was a major PITA removing the rear sight to access the pin with retains the firing pin but I managed. I also replaced the extractor spring, magazine latch spring,rear sight spring,safety spring and slide stop spring. I failed miserably when it came to the hammer mainspring. I tried for over an hour with no success so I reinstalled the old spring as I could not compress the new spring enough to install the hammer. Any one have any tips? |
