I was shooting my G19 at the range today and had an interesting issue that never happened to me before.
After firing about 200 rounds of Winchester Nato 9mm, I pulled the trigger back and nothing... seemed like a jam.  But then, about 1/2 a second later it fired off!
Scared the piss out of me!
Is there a term for a round that does that?
(Please don't hate on glock!)
(Did I just use "hate" as a verb?!?!?!? Oy vey!)

this, make sure that when it happens you keep the business end pointed in a safe direction for obvious reasons.

"Hangfire"

Thats the word!  I was going nuts trying to remember it.

It was the white box ammo.  Out of the 1/2 case I bought, it was the only hiccup.

ETA:  I don't think its the same "white box" you guys are talking about.  This was 124gr nato in a white box with just black print (no red).

thats why they tell you to keep the gun pointed in a safe direction for a least 30 seconds if you get a click, but no bang.

I had a hangfire once on a AR, surprising to say the least.

The larger the bore, the worse the suprise.  Had a 7mm Mag hangfire on me, that sucked.

oh but this surprise was thought to be a bad primer and ejected before the party could start.  To say the least I peed a little.

Yeah... except when the tell you tap, rack, bang... and to practice that way too with a click and no bang.

I would have pissed my pants if that happened to me.

I had two failures to fire on a 50 BMG a couple of weeks ago, probably due to hard primers and not a strong enough hammer spring.  Neither of them fired, but there is nothing like sitting there with a 50 against your shoulder thinking, "how long do I wait before opening the bolt?".  Both fired on the second strike after cycling the action.

That is the training for when targets are shooting back at you.... no need to be all tactical and stay in the fight against paper.

I was goose hunting with my dad when he had a hangfire on a shell that might have been a little too wet for a little too long...

Click...hmmm... rackBANG!

made it halfway out the port after racking the pump then went off, showering me (about 20ft away) with a handful of shot.

scared us more than anything, but didn't hurt the gun or either of us...
