in my sig 229 with different amao ,different mags,the slide would not close somebody told me i should change the recoil spring if so should i go to a havery spring and yes the gun was clean and oiled |

Chances are, if the gun is new you probably have good heavy springs in the mag, fill it up and let it set for a few days and let the spring relax/set itself, if you cant wait for the spring to relax a bit before you carry, leave one round out til it relaxes abit, then if all else fails contact Sig for a heavier or replacement recoil sprong. I have yet to see a Sig come from the factory with a "weak" recoil spring But stranger things have happened |
