I was just reviewing an old article in the Rifleman on the SR9.  The sidebar indicated the pull wt for both the SR and the SRC was 10 lbs.  In fact, oddly enough, the author kinda glanced over this fact in the body of the text and never really discussed this issue.  He did mention that the Ruger was not as accurate as the other models he has shot in his past.  I figger, may have something to do with the trigger.  (Oh, BTW, he did use sandbags as a Ransom Rest was not available for his testing.)

In any case, this is a showstopper for me.  Anyone have anything nice to say about the SR9?  Other than the trigger it seems to be OK for the money.

If not, I buy an XD9 as soon as the piggy bank is topped up

thanks for your input.  (Trying to be an educated consumer. )

You asked the same question on 11 September and got input.

Mine is more like 6 lbs, and crisper with less reset than my Glock triggers.

Certainly not a deal killer.

I have put about 900 rounds through mine (no malfunctions) and the trigger has smoothed up quite a bit. It was not that bad to begin with, I'm just a bit spoiled from my Kimber.

Me too- I did remove the mag disconnect though, and that seems to have lightened/smoothed the pull some. I didn't shoot it much before that though, so not sure the degree of improvement. I tend to shoot the SR9 a little better then my Glock 19.

I think the American Rifleman and Ruger are longtime butt buddies.  I don't much care for Ruger's  statement "Firearms for responsible citizens".

But I'll give the Rifleman credit for having a lot of EBR's in the magazine the past several years.

At any rate, the AR loves every pistol that they review.
