Local funshop has a Dan Wesson .357, 4 inch, blued... for 350$. It feels really nice... looks like it woudl be a fun range gun but I dont know anything about Dan Wesson revolvers or what they are worth... Can anyone provide any insight? |

I did a lot of research on them a while ago. Great weapons, well built, and tight. If it is used, $350 is on the high end. gun broker has them in the 250-350 range all the time. Still, if it feels good, and clean, the "I can touch it before I buy it" factor would prompt me to drop the money at the local dealer. Cheers, Geoff |

I got my 4 inch stainless for $275...it's a keeper! Having had many blue ones in various configurations through the years since introduced, I like 'em. Depending on which model, anything from a fixed sight satin blue, to an adjustable sighted, highly polished blued "heavy vent rib", prices vary a lot. Even the top of the line model (used) at $350 is pushing the high side...make sure the barrel wrench didn't "get lost" as those go for up to $25...some Hogue grips and a few boxes of .357 would be closer to a deal. |

I picked up a DW 44 mag a while back. I absolutely love it. It came with all the original paperwork, box, bbl wrench and spacing guide. If you get a used one, get one that was made in Monson, Mass. That was the original company. That's where my 44 was made. They are extremely accurate and heavy duty. I saw one I was going to pick up on GA but got a 10/22 instead so the wife could shoot with me. www.gunsamerica.com/guns/976492200.htm |
