| I've never owned a Browning or high power clone for that matter but I ran into a Browning BDM (all blue/matte) in my local shop. Original box, paperwork and 1 - 15 round mag. Did some casual research and see the unique sing/double action change capability. This weapon was spotless...not a mark. Asking $450. Worth adding to the stable??? |

That sounds about right.
I bought my for $325 or $350 ten years ago. Well made, always works, combat accurate. IIRC the slides were made by Sig for Browning. Look at the construction, Welded blocks into the outer steel shell. typical old sig. Holsters are the hard part. I got a custom Kramer IWB rig. Perfect combination for concealed carry of this nice thin pistol. Only downside in my opinion is the front sight on that pedestal is distracting to MY eye. |

I think Steelonsteel is thinking of the old Browning BDA (SiG P220)...I am pretty sure your BDM is made by FN in Belgium but either way, both are nice pistols and that is a nice price for a clean example...I bet mags will be difficult to source...I think any nice pistol for under $500 gets my attention...:D

Drive them down to $400 or so if you can. I picked up an essentially unfired BDM with two 15 round mags, and case for $425 out the door at a local gunshop that is known for it's high prices about 9 months ago. These are good guns, but spare 15 round mags are in short supply, although you can pick up 10 round mags readily, and cheaply. It's a good gun, but spare parts are hard to find if you put a ton of rounds through it. I'd probably still buy it myself at $450, but I think you can do a little better if you push them.
If they won't deal, and you are willing to pay shipping, I'd sell my BDM to you with the 2 15 round mags, and 2 essentially new 10 round mags for $450 plus shipping. IM me if interested, and I'll send pics. |
