I bought a bunch of these before I even had a BHP. 17 rounds is a lot of ammo. I refer to these magazines as my 'load on Monday and shoot all week' ones.

Think I know where my guns and ammo allowance is going this week.

I just got mine yesterday with my Cocobolo grips.

I'm a little suspicious of the plastic mag base, I'm used to metal.

If I had some spare cash floating around, I'd get a few more of these. The one I have works as well as my Mec-Gars, which is to say problem-free.

I've used for some matches and they have worked well.  Some guy did some abuse testing and the magazines held up fairly well.  Failure on the mags appear to occur on the upper rear portion of the mag where it will begin to crack.  Wish I had that link.

I ordered 4 and the only problem I'm having with them is.  I can't get more than 13 in them number 13 takes a lot of cursing to get in.  Along with them not dropping free.  I'm hoping that they just need to be broke in.

They get better.  Use a pen or pencil to compress and slip in the extra rounds.

Mine do not drop free, but that may be because I'm using them in a .40 frame with 9mm conversion barrel.

Does anyone else have that problem?

Just managed to get 17 in one of the mags using a pencil.  Thanks for the tip. I'm going to get some emory cloth and rub a couple spots were I think it's sticking.  Might be the finish on the mags.

It's not the finish, it's the springs.

Load 10 rounds (if you can).  Let it sit overnight.
Load 2-3 more rounds.  Let it sit overnight

Repeat till fully loaded.

Let them sit for a week or two before shooting.

After that they should load ok.

I was talking about sanding were the mag sticks in my pistol.
