Not "officially" rated, but very few manufacturers will admit that their handguns are strong enough to fire anything hotter than standard factory ammo. Has a bit to do with liability when some yahoo homebrews a "kick ass self defense load".

Remember, the Hi Power has been fed a steady diet of various 9mm loads for seventy years. Many countries spec'd a hotter 9mm for submachinegun use and undoubtably used the same in their sidearms.

Can you fire +P in a Hi Power? Certainly! Use a stronger recoil spring and read this:
