Has anyone else experienced trigger slap from their HP? I can't stand to shoot more than 30-40 rounds through mine because of the trigger. Is something wrong with mine? Or is it a common thing for HPs?

What do you mean by "slap"?

You sure it's slap and not just the sharp edges most Browning triggers have?

I messed around with it some, when I cycle the slide by hand and the hammer is cocked I don't feel the trigger 'jump'. So maybe it isn't trigger slap.

Maybe it is the slimness of the trigger and the sharp edges and the heavy pull. Is there anything I can do to make the trigger break cleaner? Near the end of the pull I have to really muscle it to get it to drop the hammer.

Have you knocked the mag disconnect out of it yet?

No, mag safety is still in there. I couldn't get the trigger pin to budge, pounding on it from both sides.

I didn't want to try beating on the little pin in the trigger while it was still inside the lower frame.

Is yours the hardchromed one?  I got my pin out, but it was not easy.  I can tell you that.  You gotta have a good solid punch.  Just the right size.  If you go to 1911forum.com, they explain how to do it there in the HiPower forum.  It will help your trigger for sure.  Or send it off to C&S or somebody like that.
