Are the Hi Powers currently made by browning as reliable and high in quality as the old school ones? Would you trust and carry one?

I'd say the Mk III is more reliable than the older models.

I wish the Browning name didnt include a price markup of nearly 700 bucks........at least the shops around here are asking that for a new Browning

Keep your eyes open, they can be had for $450-$625 here and elsewhere. Good luck. M
