I saw a guy at the gun show yesterday pay around $800 for a HP in .30 Luger!!!
I wasn't even aware they made them in this caliber????? Were there many made in this caliber?????

Yes .30 Luger Hp's are around, you can see them on GunsAmerica.com on occassion going for around $750.00 +/-. It's not a popular caliber and I never could see owning one myself. There's one listed on the above site and it's dated 1982.

Where's the logic of making them after WW2????? Is this a case of a country not allowing a NATO caliber ala` some of Europe??????

That is usually the issue. Sort of the like the .38 Super being popular in Mexico and South America.
