I have seen a copy of the hi power at a pawn shop made in Hungary. I wasn't certain of the quality of the pistol but the price is good. It's going for $275.00 before taxes. Does anyone know about these pistols?

It was probably an FEG. They used to be imported in from K.B.I. in Harrisburg, Pa. I'm not a fan of BHP clones, but if I had to own one it would be the FEG. If the pistol is new, $275 is a steal. Even one in excellent condition would be a fair purchase. Quality is good and you hear mainly praise about FEG BHP clones. Parts and magazines are interchangable.

Make sure it is a FEG "PJK" (It will be stamped on the left side of the slide). This is the true clone of the HP . . . FEG has made a couple of other models that are similar but not a true clone. The PJK is a good price at $275.00 if in good shape. Quite a few HP onwers have a Hungarian clone in their collection (myself included) and they are very good pistols. I also like to use it as my .22cal conversion pistol, my Ciener kit fits right on it.

Not sure its new because the barrel shows signs of either slight rust or maybe carbon on the part where the slide has the opening for the shells to eject. Otherwise the finnish looks good and seems to be ok. there isn;t any signs of barrel wear or pitting and I think that if for nothing else this could be a good shooter for a weekend and after awhile made into a decent carry gun .

I have found a few Hi powers around here now and they are going for under $500. Not sure when I may jump on them but I have always wanted one. My brother carried one when he was flying for the Navy. He said he would rather have it then the issued gun at the time which was before the Military swtiched to the M9. Now days as an airline pilot he has an H&K USP in .40 cal.
