I've built a few 1911A1s and own 2 BHPs I would like to build a BHP from scratch...does anyone supply Frames and Slides? Saw the thread about parts kits...If I want a 1911 Frame I go to Caspian...but where do you get a BHP frame from?

SARCO has parts guns with:

Welded firing pin hole.
Pin through the chamber
No Grips
Painted red
AND finally a round pin welded in the spot in the frame where the barrel cam should go.
(that's the part that makes the "Browning Action" work and makes the barely perceptable oval lines on the side)
This is the showstopper. The cam is a factory only job.  (think "same cost as new receiver")

I've seen no other outlets for Browning frames.

That being said, I ordered 3 of them thinking I could reman a cam. When I got them  I found that 2 of the 3 had intact cams. Everything else was goofed up like they said but not irreversibly so.  I've got one functioning (100 rds thru a new barrel) and awaiting Duracoat and another awaiting it's acetone bath. I sold the 3rd for parts
