Good afternoon everyone, long time lurker, first time poster here.
I was hoping someone would know where to find a new extractor for a BHP that my dad has. It's a former Austrian police (if memory serves me) pistol that we are fairly sure is from the early to mid 60's (internal extractor). His long time gunsmith (not of the kitchen table variety) has confirmed our suspicions that it is indeed the extractor that needs replacement. This thing is too pretty to sit in a safe collecting dust! Thanks in advance for your help! |

You're not going to like this, but what you're after has become an incredibly rare part.
Marstar, Numrich and Sarco all used to carry this part, Numrich and Marstar still list them but show them as out of stock. I would be keeping an eye out at gun shows and on ebay / gun broker and the like. If you find some, A: they won't be cheap and B: buy 2 or 3 because you likely won't find them again. Good luck. |

As I said, A: they won't be cheap |

That design has been out of production for decades. The Mk III parts are a lot easier to come by. I suppose you could have an extractor made by a machinist, but that might be just as expensive as finding an original part. |

All I can do is let dad know what the deal is and see if he wants to bite the bullet on one. |

I've heard there might be some available here: http://www.theactionworks.com/ It was a while back so they could be long gone. Good Luck! I just sent him an email, it may be a long shot but it's worth a try! You will have to get this one fitted. http://www.ebay.com/itm/INGLIS-BROWNING-HP-PISTOL-SPARE-EXTRACTOR-NOS-Mint-in-the-Grease-/181730077361?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a4ff4eab1 |

I may go ahead and order this one as a second anyway. I don't mind if either one has to be fitted a little. |

One of those Ebay auction was from Northridge International. I just checked and they have FN and Inglis extractors for $89. I think, not sure here, but I bought a NOS from them for like $100 AT AUCTION Very pricey, but they aren't making them anymore and if you need one, well it was worth the price for me. |
