| Obviously, no one produces a clip on rail for the Hi Power, such as Surefire's offerings. However, I've heard rumors that rails designed for SIGs will work, I'm curious if anyone has tried this? I'd rather not chop up my frame, but it would be nice to add a X300 to my .40. |

That would be my pistol.
I used the rail from Jim Garthwaite, its his new redesign. The last version was for the Surefire x200 with Dawson Adapter. This new version will work with multiple lights, and is drill and tapped to the frame. It works very well, and worth the money, I think it was $60. I'll get better pictures of my baby tomorrow and post them. |

As Op requested, here's the Surefire Sig P226 rail on a Browning Hi Power 9mm forged frame. The angle of the rail is slightly downward, but if you're using a light (X200 here) and not a laser it's not an issue. The mount is firm, no wiggle room. For practical applications it's a workable solution. ETA This rail is the MR14A, the MR14B would be too wide for the Hi Power triggerguard |

No issues? Do you think that the frame will handle the light getting hit hard? Basically, is there enough "meat" on that part of the frame to handle a hard hit? I am very curious about this. |
