Depending on the shape, you might have made a mistake. The price is right, assuming they are as described and will move quickly. Also a little advice, I used to be a gun dealer (before deciding I liked to make money instead of running a non-profit business), and beating a dealer up on the price of gun that he knows is priced right is not a great idea. You might save a couple of bucks, but if he shutters at the sight of you coming through his door then you will lose in the long run. When I was a dealer there were people who never had to ask for a discount and those that I just refused to work with. Its always in your best interest to be friends with you gun dealer. |

If you have the $$, buy the nicer one if those scratches bother you. You can always have it refinished too, but again $$$$. and you may endup spending more money in total then if you would have bought the better one. i bought a S&W M41 for 350. If you bother to look up the price on them, you would see that its a great deal. Why was it 350 you ask yourself? becuase it had a scuff mark on the end of the barrel shroud. Does it look pretty/prestine? heck no. Does it affect accuracry/shootablitily? HELL NO!. Its still a tack dirver. the only problem i have is that there was another one for the same price in the same condition. i still kick myself for letting the other one go. |

It depends on your reasons for buying. In terms of retaining value or appreciating in value over time, condition is everything and scratches matter.
If you want a shooter then they don't matter as much as you'll aquire more scratches and finish wear anyway if you shoot it a lot. In that regard, if you can live with the price, get one or both of them. |

ALL Browning Hi Powers are Belgian made and always have been.....................what else is written on those slides? $650 is pretty steep for a run of the mill used MkIII......NIB Browning HP's are regularly on sale at CDNN for $629-699. Go to GunBroker and have a look at the dozens of used HP's that are police trades in and compare them to the ones at your gun store. |
