Okay, I've got one.  I'll start to work on it soon.  My question is what do I need to look out for?  What can get me in trouble?   what can I do to make the firearm unsafe?

Thanks!

Nothing especially to look out for.  P-11s of recent vintage tend to be 100% reliable out of the box:  clean it, lube it, and go shoot.  Try to avoid the longer 147gr ammo if possible.

The trigger is long and heavy.  As the pistol breaks in, it will smooth out and lighten, and you will get used to it.  Those who have used DA revolvers won't mind it; those who shoot 1911s or Glocks a lot can find it an obstacle.

The only thing you can do to make the firearm unsafe is drop it from a height of about 4' or greater directly onto its muzzle on a hard surface.  This has resulted in two ADs I have read about.  In both cases, both discharged into the ground and no one was hurt.  P-11/P-40s were capable of this; the P-32/P-3AT/PF-9 use a hammer block system and are not.  Not a cause for alarm, but something to be aware of if you are planning on playing frisbee with your kid with your P-11 and an open top holster (one of the ADs I mentioned happened this way)...

Adding the trigger shoe helped me shoot it better.

I like the added finger extensions for the mags.

If it came with ten rounders, order up some 12s.

Do the 'fluff and buff' on KTOG.
