Any opinions on the 9mm

are you wanting to use it for competition?  If so, Then I say it should be G2G.   although if you are wanting to get really serious into USPSA I'd say go with the .40 as it scores as a major power factor.

A 9mm TS would make an absolutely EXCELLENT steel gun.

A friend of mine was selling his 9mm TS - I wanted to buy it, but without anybody putting on SC or similar matches locally, it didn't make sense to drop the coin at that time.

If you are inclined to do a lot of heavy custom work, it would also make a great basis for a 9mm Major Open pistol (the new Czechmate Open-Class pistol is a TS at its heart... and word on the street is that the Czechmate isn't going to be making it stateside any time soon).

Also, I believe that they have stopped producing the 9mm TS - the demand just wasn't there, because most of us interested in the TS want it for IPSC Standard or USPSA Limited, where .40 is required for Major PF.

My .40 TS, as it was about a month ago:

Have since switched to a black serrated front sight and an asymmetrical grip setup - currently running a modified stock 75B plastic grip on the left, but will be building up a custom grip on the left aluminum grip panel in a few weeks. (For me, the asymmetric setup provides a more natural grip with the support hand, combined with a lowered likelihood of accidentally hitting the mag release or slide lock with the same.)

I have one in .40. I bought it because I loved my Sp01 in 9mm. I shot that in USPSA production and wanted to move to Limited. I thought since I was so comfortable with the SP01 that it would be an easy transition. It was not. The grip is significantly larger than the other 75 series pistols. Mine had feeding issues and the trigger wouldn't reset. it went back to CZ and they solved the trigger issue, but not the feeding issue (turned out to be a mag follower problem, so 9mm may be different).

I've gotten things sorted out and I'm getting comfortable with it. I may get a grip reduction done, but $$$ is tight right now. CZ Custom has a new CTS model with a smaller grip, but it is significantly more expensive.

If you want 9mm, I'd suggest you take another look at the CZ SP01, maybe one of their shadow or target variants.

Hey I've got one of those:

Cool gun.  I personally think the grinding/reshaping of the grip is neccessary unless you have absolute beast hands, but after that and a little lightening work the gun points/handles/balances beautifully.  Angus supposedly sells different grips and combined with a Shadow mag catch you can run normal 9mm '75 mags (easier/cheaper/more capacity).

I shoot mine in steel, and it's a pretty nice setup.  I'll likely end up parting with it though in search of an open-cz endeavor.

The CZ -75 TS is going to be my next handgun I believe. I just need to find one and get my hands around it to see if I can hold it.
