I recently purchased a CZ-75D PCR; this past weekend I went to the range and had a chance to shoot it. Firing a few shots through it, I noticed that my trigger finger was starting to hurt and after only two or three mags my finger was pretty sore. Is this normal with the smaller CZs? I've never had this problem with my pre-b CZ though I do remember having a similar problem with a friend's tangfolio .45 gun.

I was originally planning to switch this gun to me CCW, but now I am having second thoughts. I was very accurate with the gun, but I don't want something that is uncomfortable for me to shoot. Does having the trigger work done at CZ customs help this at all? The gun has a ribbed (aluminum?) trigger, which probably doesn't help so I was also thinking that switching to the smooth 85 combat trigger could help as well. However I don't want to spend money upgrading the gun if it doesn't fix the issue.

I wanted to see if anyone had a similar experience and what they did or if maybe it's just me. Thanks for any replies.

Replacing it with the combat trigger helps alot.  I had them (czcustom) swap the trigger and do the hammer swap/trigger job on my P01 and the thing is a dream to shoot!

I had a 75B 40 compact that was brutal on my trigger finger.  The 4 other CZ's I have owned all had the older silver trigger and I've never had a problem with them.  I figured the trigger slap was from the 40 round in a compact.  I recently picked up a PO7 that has the newer style trigger and after 1200 rounds still no sign of trigger slap.  Maybe try and contact Angus over on the CZ forum and see what he says about the custom trigger work.  Good luck, David

The more i shoot my P-06 the less trigger slap I've been getting. I heard somewhere that you should wait ~500 rounds before paying for a trigger job because it might go away as the gun gets broken in. I have ~400 rounds through mine and there a significant difference from the first time i shot it.

pics or it didn't happen

I had the same trouble with my Rami. I think it is due to the curved trigger. I had mine replaced with a Combat 85 and the problem went away. I suggest you invest in the trigger job. I had Matt Mink do mine and it lightened up the DA as well as the SA. It made the gun much more pleasant to shoot.

Thanks for the replies, I guess I'll look into getting the action job and new trigger.
