I’ve had my pre B CZ for a while and I was thinking about getting it refinished. The original owner apparently got the gun with some rust problems and so he had it redone and parkerized. Personally I don’t care for the finish and it seems to be pretty rough. I know about people doing the hard chroming and such but I’d really prefer a black finish rather than something shiny. Does anyone have any recommendations on places to send the gun to? Is there anything that I have to worry about since it’s already been parkerized? Any feedback from people that have had their own guns refinished would be appreciated, thanks.

Have it blasted and re-parked and then gun coated or Moly resined. Makes for a very tough finish. Acetone just cleans it.

I re-did my own CZ82 this way last year. It came out great.

Don't ever apply the moly or GC over an old park finish. It'll just bubble up and peel later. Had that happen once before I made my own park tank. The secret to any good finish is good prep. So start with freshly blasted steel.
