Hell, I have a 1954 issue one and it'l ring steel all day long at a hundred. Never had a failure to feed or to fire. Read the commentary on the FP's but I was aware of that and never dry fire mine.
Load I use is 8.0 of Bluedot, pushing a Hornady XTP HP...............Personally, I'd have no hesitation in carrying mine as a defensive piece..........good, solid well made gun! |
| I have seen plenty of 1911s do strange things does that make all of them crap, no. These are old pistols and may need a few new springs and maybe a new firing pin. There are after market titanium firing pins out there for these so that solves that. Add that to the fact 7.62x25 is an incredibly capable round makes these worth wile pistols i think. Also they are cheap and the ammo is cheaper, so they make fun blasters... |
