My favorite CZ....great carry gun or basic competition gun!!! Very very nice.
Its amazing how accurate they are, given they are supposed to be the same as the basic 75b.  The beavertail is nicer than almost any other CZ.....like the SP01.
Shoot well and god bless

Ok, got 'er cleaned up & got some amateur pics. A pox on any gun shop that puts out a used gun when it's GD FILTHY!!!!!!!!!

Purchase story to follow after these pics.

These are the 10rd mags that were part of the deal.

Here are the hi-caps that came with the gun.

Purchase story:

I was in a bit of a backwater town & a buddy was having ALL of his teeth pulled for dentures.

While he was having his party, I went down to the local gun shop to see what was what. This shop is definitely a Fudd shop, although they have a good bit of XD's, wheel guns, Glocks & so forth.

They had 4-5 used CZ's in the case, my SA among them. They also had a Kadet, the first one I've seen.

I looked at both the Kadet & the SA, put them back & left the shop & went & ate breakfast. Went back to the dentist, checked on my buddy (still in the back) & went back to the shop.

Different salesman waited on me the second time & I asked for the "CZ single action". His reply: "CZ doesn't make a single action."

I looked down in the counter & told him which one it was & to pull it out. He cleared the slide & had this look on his face:

After I looked at it & handed it back, I picked up a 10rd mag that was in the gun. He clearly & CLEANLY had the gun in his hand & went to flip it over & proceeded to DROP THE GUN ON THE GLASS COUNTER TOP! I was (thankfully) in front of him & caught the gun before it skidded onto the floor in front of the counter.

In a clear & loud voice, I said "I'm glad *I* didn't do that!" He said nothing..............

I asked what his best price was & he went off to check the computer, yadda yadda yadda. Comes back with $494, $50 less than the sticker price. Not bad, so I said I'd take it.

I did the 4473 & asked about the "with case" that was marked on the price tag. I mentioned that the case may very well have 1-2 hi-caps in it, so he commenced to look for it. And looked for it and looked for it.......................

45 MINUTES LATER he STILL hasn't laid his hands on the case.

By now, I need to leave to go pick up my buddy from the dentist to drive him home. Then the owner comes back in from lunch (I guess). I was at the counter when he left & I was STILL there when he came back. He looked at me & came right over & asked if he could help me? I said yes, please find the case with this gun I am trying to buy.

He goes immediately off to the side & pulls out a large plastic MCM carry case that has "CZ" painted on the top. He then pops open the case & I then laid eyes on the mags that were contained therein.

In the bottom were two kydex holsters as well as multiple mag holders & a set of adjustable sights.

The owner told me the former owner was a female who's hubby bought her the gun for IPSC. Eventually she decided she didn't like/want this particular gun & put it up for consignment. The gun didn't sell (too much?), so she traded it in on something else.

So, I got the gun for $50 off sticker price, got a SHITLOAD of mags, adjustable sights, two holsters & boocoo mag holders.

The ironic part is, I ALMOST told them to forget the case & would take the gun "as is" w/o said case.

Oh, yes, the bubba who dropped the gun also told me the guy who traded it in was "special forces"....................

Moral of the story: don't believe shit that a salesman tells you about a gun & be more stubborn than normal to get everything that you should get.

Congrats! With all those mags and holders, the deal you got is robbery.

My 75 SA is probably my favorite pistol. Slap a Kadet conversion on it too, it's a marvel.

Nah, I prefer my .22's to be dedicated guns.

I do too actually. I have a Buckmark, Trailside, and Kimber Rimfire. But believe me, the Kadet on a 75 SAO is pure happiness.

Does the SA version use the same mags as the other 75s? I'm new to the CZ game & don't know much more than nothing about them.

Kinda funny, 2-3 years ago I couldn't even spell "CZ", now I own two of their handguns, one Tangfolio & a CZ O&U 20ga!

Yep, same mags. They'll also work in the SP-01s and Compacts, they just stick out of the Compacts a little.

CZs become an addiction. I'm currently at 5.5 CZ pistols, 7 CZ rifles, and 1 CZ shotgun.

Got to shoot at the range today. I didn't do any rest shooting but did nothing but freehand. Having said that, this gun shoots WONDERFULLY!

I was easily getting 3" groups shooting freehand & not trying terribly hard to shrink my groups. Everyone who shot or dry fired the gun just LOVED the 3lb trigger pull as well.

Looking forward to using this one as my second gun entry in next weeks IPSC match.

Yep.

The 85 also has an ambi safety, as does the SP-01, but it's a standard 75 type. I much prefer the safety style on the 75 SAO.

Now this is a good start!  Backwater towns and major dental work aren't often used in the same sentence.

Well, I used the CZ-75 SA as my second gun entry in yesterday's IPSC match. Aside from one stovepipe (which may have been me & not the gun), the gun ran & shot flawlessly!

The stovepipe happened when the shooter had to carry a Nerf football from one box to another before they could shoot targets 7-9. I had it tucked under my shooting arm & may have relaxed my grip a bit when leaning over the fence to hit a low sitting target...........

This gun is definitely a keeper!
