I've been looking at the alloy-framed P-01 and it sure feels good in my hand.  Anybody have one and care to share their experience?
I have a CZ 452 American .22 and I am impressed with its quality and accuracy.  Several years ago, I had a CZ 75 and liked it also but I sold it when I got the hots for something else (don't even remember what).

I have one for daily carry and have put close to 1,000 rds through it with no failure of any sort, FMJ, JHP and +P. I find I can shoot it darned accurately, and as you say, it feels just perfect in my hand.

I just added a set of Meprolight tritium night sights and now it also spends the might in my sock drawer, beside my bed.

I like it bunches!

Mine is the most comfortable pistol I have ever had in my hand period. It also shoots better than any 9mm I have ever shot that was that size. If they made one with a manual saftey I would have two. They make after market steel guide rods for them and CDNN has the 14rd mags for $20 a piece so I say scoop it up. Holsters are not that hard to find now either. In my opinion it is the best deal on the market for a 9mm compact pistol.

Bill, what holster do you use for concealed carry for the P-01?  I looked around just briefly on the web and didn't see much available.
My carry piece now is a Kimber Pro Carry ll in .45 and I use a DeSantis IWB that I really like.  Didn't appear that DeSantis was making anything for the P-01 as yet anyway.

Blade-Tech makes holsters for the P-01.

If you go to the Galco websight they make holsters for the P01 also. I use a sky ops Galco for a G19 and it works just fine. I use it because I already had it and it works. Galco however makes holsters just for the P01.

I have a CrossBreed SuperTuck IWB. I really like it and the wait isn't too terribly long from them!

Comp-Tac and K&D also list holsters for the P-01, and have good reputations.

Good luck!

I've had a P-01 for a little over a year (bought it used) and it has been 100% reliable. What sold me on it are the ergonomics and the price. I have yet to find another gun that shoots as well for me; it seems like it was designed for my hand. I don't think you can go wrong with a P-01 as a carry gun or a range gun. I carry mine often in a C-TAC with a spare mag on my weak side. P-01's come new with a plastic guide rod, but stainless guide rods are available (mine came with one).

If you buy a P-01, make sure you get one with two 14-rd mags; there may still be some floating around with Klintonized 10-rders. The P-01 can use 10-rd and 14-rd CZ Compact mags, as well as CZ-75 16-rd mags (the SP-01 19-rd magazines will work too.)

These are the mags I own that work with the P-01.

CZ does make a pistol similar to the P-01 with a safety for SA carry - the CZ-75 Compact (not the Compact D, aka PCR). The Compact comes in 2 flavors: 9mm without a light rail on the dustcover, and .40cal with the light rail. They both have steel frames instead of aluminum.
