Help!  pretty please!   [>(]

I just got my CZ-50 from CAI.

seemed nice, but had to be cleaned.  I followed a disassembly guide from the web.  I took pictures along the way to help me with re-assembly..

here is the problem:

I can not recall if this is a double action or single action only.. I want to say Double, but not sure

Hammer Drop- OK

safety- OK

fire-  (racking slide first)  pulling trigger, at the very last possible moment of trigger travel, and with much more force than I recall.. the hammer will fall (I protect the Firing pin and hammer)

no double action either... trigger pulls the hammer back about 3/4 of the way.

hep me puhlese!

7IDL,
I've owned four of the CZ-50s. Two built in 1950 and the other two 1952. I still have two.  They are a double action design.  Have you removed the grips during cleaning?  I would check the mainspring for crud and the double action bar also for build up.  If the gun still doesn't function I would call CAI for a repair or replacement.

whew!  I found the problem..

assembly error on my part... Which I knew it had to be, because it worked better before I put my filthy little hands all in it!

I can see how this happened too..

The spring for the trigger bar (28) goes around the Trigger pivot pin (31) not the trigger bar pin on the trigger (32), which is what I did.  :(

What I did had the spring blocking the trigger from full travel.  Instead of the trigger slipping past the trigger bar, it hit the spring.  Mounting the spring on the lower pivot pin, makes a clear path!

The function check was ok  :)

nice trigger now, and yes, it is double and single action!

hammer drop- OK
safe- OK

Fed 32acp snap caps w/o a problem, and the firing pin does it thing too!

I'm so happy now.  This is one sweet little sidearm.
The only thing I "don't like" is that safty lever up to fire.. oh well  :)

I'm thinking about calling CAI tomorrow and order another one, they're that nice !

Glad to hear problem solved.  Enjoy for they're nice pistols.  I've found that you can use Walther PP mags (more common) in the CZ but not vice versa.  CZ were issued with some hot 32 ammo.  I load them to full throttle and have perfect functioning and authority from the little guns.
