has a problem with the safety jumping to safe while shooting.  I have to consciencly ride my thumb on the safety while shooting so i dont inadvertely put it on safe. It dosent has a really positive engagement of a safety.  Anyway to "stiffen" it up a bit. Thanks

Sounds like the safety detent or spring broke.  Take the top end off and take the sear cage out and you should be able to tell what is wrong.
